You need to be involved in church activities. As a child of God, you can not afford to stay away unnecessarily from the church. It should be your desire to see that your Father’s work moves on without any hitch. That means that you prepared to put on your best at all times, as well as others. It is difficult to have your mind subjected to evil thoughts in the midst of fellow brethren and soul-lifting church activities.
Get involved in activity groups in your church, particularly the ones you know you are gifted by God to make positive impact. Preach to others, counsel with those that need help, visit the afflicted, share with the needy and pray for your church leaders. There is so such much to do in the house of God that nobody should be comfortable saying that there is nothing he can do.
An idle mind is the devil’s thrash bin for his evil thoughts. Always be in control of your mind and the thoughts that come into it. Your mind is not a junkyard for the devil to throw into it whatever he likes; guard it jealously. Save your soul; keep off from bad companions. Make friends with those who encourage and build up your faith. Be among the positive minded as they can imbue you with positive thoughts by what they say and do. He that walketh with wise men shall be wise; but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
