John 13:13-17
The chapter starts off with Jesus cleaning the feet of His disciples. Peter, who is always two steps ahead told Jesus, that He being the master and teacher should not wash the feet of him. In those days, due to dust and unpaved roads, the feet was the dirtiest part of the human body, yet our Savior showed humility by washing the feet of a man. He was teaching by example.
Staying connected with those men of God in your life brings blessings without much effort.
Humility demonstrates love. So how is love demonstrated in the church?
It is through humility that your fellowship with one another will be strengthen. Where you do not identify with what you have achieved or what you are, but with each other. Humility protects you and preserves unity.
Humble thyself, its the kingdom style, for those who are humble will surely be exalted.
